What is paint by numbers?

Paint by numbers is an easy way to create a work of art for those that aren’t as confident with a paintbrush! By providing a canvas with a pre-prepared outline of your design and color segments already mapped out, it takes away a lot of the technical requirements involved in painting. All you need to do is paint within the lines and bam! You’ve got a masterpiece.

How do I paint by numbers?

Each section of your design is numbered on the canvas. Simply find the color that matches the number and use that color to paint over the corresponding section.

How long will my painting take?

You should be able to complete your painting within a few days, depending on how much time you spend on it per day – as well as the size and intricacy of the design. You shouldn’t feel in a rush to complete, so take your time and take pleasure in the process.

Where can I buy paint by numbers kit?

Misplaced the the key

My kid got this as a gift but did not receive a key explaining which paints go with which numbers :/

When I placed the order for two paint by number sets for my granddaughters for Christmas, I didn't realize shipping would take over three weeks because the items are shipped from China. The gifts arrived after Christmas, and were rolled up pieces of canvas and some paints in plastic mini cups. So before I give them as gifts, I need to package them in boxes. And now it's two late for Christmas gifts. Hopefully when my granddaughters receive them, and use them, there will be a beautiful final product. I'll let you know.

LinMar, thanks for your message. In looking at your order, your order did arrive 21 days after your order was placed which is just outside of the 12-20 days that free shipping typically takes. As far as the packaging is concerned, we will take a look at that to see if there are areas we can improve on our side. We do hope your granddaughters do like the finished product.

This was fun!

I love doing paint by numbers kits, they allow me to create and relax at the same time. This kit in particular only took me a few days to complete and was easy to do. Unfortunately, there was one problem and that was with the frame. As I slid the pieces together, two of the corners had large pieces break off even before they were fully joined. I fixed them with glue but I was disappointed at how thin the wood was compared to others I've done and how easily they broke. That being said, the only other thing I have a question with is, why if there are large areas to be painted do you only get the same size paint? I had to scrimp on other areas to make sure there was enough. Maybe for larger areas that one color could either have an extra sent with it or maybe a larger paint pot for that one color. Basically, that's all I have for "issues" but it didn't stop me from finishing. You have very talented artists!
